Funeral benefit increase
The funeral benefits offered by the Fund have increased as indicated in the table below from 1 January 2025. Read more about your funeral benefits in the Fund’s member guide here (DC Section) or here (DB section).
The Fund has negotiated lower rates for the insured death, disability and funeral benefits. The employer’s contribution to your retirement funding will therefore increase from 19.40% to 19.70% for South African members and from 18.90% to 19.30% for Namibian members.
